Physical Energy Flow Accounts: Bridging To Energy Balances

This dataset presents the Physical Energy Flow Accounts (PEFA) bridging items. It shows the various elements making up the difference between the domestic energy use derived from energy accounts (residence principle) and the gross inland energy consumption derived from energy balances (territory principle). The following positions constitute the 'bridge' from the residence principle indicator to the territory based indicator: domestic energy use by resident units - activities by national residents abroad + activities by non-residents on the territory +/- other adjustments and statistical discrepancies. Data reported by the relevant national statistical authorities are available on an annual basis. Data for European countries are collected by Eurostat.
