Percent of students rated as demonstrating readiness for kindergarten in the domain of "language and literacy" on the Maryland Model for School Readiness kindergarten assessment for the school year ending in that year,

FARMS is the Free and Reduced Meals program. Students are eligible for FARMS if their family income is under 185% of the federal poverty level.

In the 2014-2015 school year, the Maryland School Readiness report transitioned to measuring kindergarten readiness by either demonstrating or not demonstrating readiness. Previously it was measured as fully ready, approaching readiness, or developing readiness.
