Percent of students rated as demonstrating readiness for kindergarten in the domains of "language and literacy" and "mathematical thinking" (average) on the Maryland Model for School Readiness kindergarten assessment for the school year ending in that year.

In the 2014-2015 school year, the Maryland School Readiness report transitioned to measuring kindergarten readiness by either demonstrating or not demonstrating readiness. Previously it was measured as fully ready, approaching readiness, or developing readiness.
