Definition

The point at which half of all households are above a specified income level and the other half are below that same level. Incomes for 2012 have been adjusted for inflation so that they are comparable with 2022 dollars. Caution should be exercised in comparing income data from model-based estimates (as reported herein for 2012 and 2022 between counties and over time (see Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates, General Cautions about Comparisons of Estimates, and Census Bureau Website at www.census.gov).
