Female-headed Households With Children (2005–2023)

Definition

This data shows the number and percentage of females living with their children under 18 years of age in households where no husband is present. Own children refers to never-married individuals under 18 who are the biological sons or daughters of the head of the household. This definition also includes stepchildren and adopted children of the householder.
