Total Child Population (1990–2023)

Definition

For 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020, the actual count of the child population, ages 0-17. For all other years, estimates of the child population, ages 0-17.

Data Source

This indicator has two sources: actual population counts from the U.S. Census Bureau (1990, 2000, 2010, & 2020), and official population estimates (all other years) from the Texas Demographic Center.
