Child Population (2014–2023)

Definition

These data represent the total number of children in the population (from birth up to and including 17 years of age).

Data Source

Data are from Easy Access to Juvenile Populations: 1990-2023: http://www.ojjdp.gov/ojstatbb/ezapop/. This source notes that these data were derived from data originally collected by the U.S. Census Bureau and subsequently modified by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). Updates to some past years are also made when a new year of data becomes available.
