Definition

The number of children under age 19 enrolled in Medicaid service under all Program Aid Categories excluding Health Choice (Children's Health Insurance Program).

Data Source

Special data tabulation provided by North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, NC Medicaid, Division of Health Services, NC Analytics Data Warehouse in January 2024. The numbers include the total number of children under age 19 enrolled in Medicaid services, excluding Health Choice (Children’s Health Insurance Program). The number of children enrolled in Health Choice benefits are reported as a separate indicator.
