Low Birthweight Babies (5-year Totals) (1993–2024)

Definition

The percent of live births that were low birthweight (less than 2,500 grams or 5 pounds, 8 ounces at birth), by mother's county of residence. Data are summed over the five year period.

Births that had an unknown county are only included at the state level.
