Dataset Description

OEHHA is announcing the availability of draft CalEnviroScreen 5.0 for public comment. CalEnviroScreen is a mapping tool used to identify California communities disproportionately burdened by multiple sources of pollution.

The 5.0 draft update reflects the newest census tract geography, updates all existing indicators, and adds two new indicators. To view the updated maps and learn about the proposed changes, please visit the draft CalEnviroScreen 5.0 website.

Get Involved:

  • Informational Webinar: We will hold an informational webinar on February 2, 2026, to provide information on the technical updates to CalEnviroScreen and how to get involved. Register for the webinar on Zoom.
  • Public Workshops: Statewide and regional sessions will be held in February to share updates and gather feedback. Registration details will be shared soon at the link below.
  • Public Comment Period: Written comments on the draft CalEnviroScreen 5.0 may be submitted until April 1, 2026.
