Percent of parents who report types of barriers to childcare for their 3-year-old among parents who prefer another type of childcare other than what they are doing now.
Parents of 3-year-old children were asked if they would prefer to use a type or place of childcare other than what they were currently doing, even if they did not have childcare arrangements at the time. On average, 84% of the mothers answered "No" and 16% answered "Yes." Only those who answered "Yes" were asked to identify one or more common barriers to the childcare they sought.
