Three-year-old Children Who Received A Developmental Screening (2020–2022)

Definition

The percent of parents who report completing a set of questions, on their own or with a health care worker, childcare provider, or preschool teacher about their 3-year-old child's development (how he or she plays, learns, speaks, acts, or moves) during the past 12 months. This indicator is stratified by Alaska Public Health Region.

Data Source

Alaska Childhood Understanding Behaviors Survey (CUBS) 2-year moving averages for 2020-2021 through 2021–2022,  Alaska Division of Public Health's Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology Unit.

Notes

Two years of data were combined to minimize the unreliability of measurement due to the small number of actual events. The reported values are averages across two years.  For example, we report the average value across the years 2020 and 2021.

The percentages reported above have been produced by weighting the survey results so that estimates better represent the Alaska population.
