Definition

Infants weighing less than 2,500 grams (5 lbs. 8 oz.) at birth born to mothers under age 20. The percentage calculation is the number of live births weighing less than 2,500 grams born to mothers under age 20 divided by the total number of live births to mothers under age 20.
