Dataset Description
Definition
Number of related children ages 6-17 in families with incomes below the U.S. poverty threshold, as defined by the Bureau of the Census. The federal poverty threshold depends on the number of adults and children in a family. Numbers are based on Small Area Income & Poverty Estimates (SAIPE); note that this is a change from our previous ACS-based estimates for this measure.
