Definition

Children under the age 19 enrolled, as of June 30 of each year, in Medical assistance programs, which includes Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and All Kids expansion by County by Fiscal Year. Medicaid and CHIP are funded jointly by the federal government and state governments.
