This is point-in-time data from February of each federal fiscal year. These are early estimates of SNAP recipients for the month. The actual number of recipients will be significantly higher (approximately 15% higher). In September 2014, HHSC updated the monthly data source so beginning in 2015, actual number of recipients will be reported.
