This indicator represents the number of deaths for children ages 1 through 19, as recorded on death certificates. Death rate is calculated as the number of child and teen deaths per 100,000 in the population during the five year time span.
North Dakota Department of Health, Division of Vital Records.
Population estimates to calculate a rate are from the U.S. Population Estimates Program.
GEOGRAPHY - Data are reported by the child’s place of residence rather than the location of death.
DATE - Calendar Year (January 1 - December 31).
