Dataset Description
Definition
Infant mortality refers to the number of deaths among children under one year of age in the given year, some of whom may have been born in the previous year. Locality refers to the mother's place of residence, not the infant's place of death.
Indicator displays the number of infant deaths (children less than one year old) per 1,000 live births in each locality in the given year.

Notes
Counts smaller than 10 are suppressed, but their rates are still reported. Caution should be used when interpreting these rates.
