Event drop-out rate is the number of students in grades 7 through 12 who leave school between the beginning of one school year and the beginning of the next without earning a high school diploma or alternative credential.
Select counties are reported that have large enough cohorts of students to report by race/ethnicity.
North Dakota Department of Public Instruction
NA - Data is suppressed if the number of students in the 7th through 12th grade cohort (denominator) is less than 25 (Prior to 2023/24 suppression was set at N<10). Additional suppression is applied if the percentage approached zero or 100 using ranges.
GEOGRAPHY - Data reflect the school location, not the child's place of residence.
NOTE - Data shown in table only includes public schools in North Dakota.
RACE - Hispanic is reported in the table as a distinct category; students are classified into only one of the reported groups. Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander is not reported for counties as the group is suppressed across all counties.
