Context
The Women's Premier League (WPL) is an upcoming women's Twenty20 cricket franchise league in India. It is owned and operated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The first season will be played in March 2023 in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai with five franchises participating.

Content
This dataset includes auction information for each player, including which team bought that player and the price paid. Additionally, it contains player-level information such as age, bowling style, and more.

Acknowledgements
The data is scraped from multiple websites including Wikipedia, ESPN Cricinfo, and CricBuzz.

Inspiration
The dataset can be used to analyze the auction price for different player roles and the money spent by different teams.
