Complete on-chain fill history from Hyperliquid validator node data

Dataset Description

Hyperliquid is a high-performance decentralized exchange (DEX) built on its own L1 blockchain, specializing in on-chain perpetual futures trading. It combines the transparency of a public blockchain with the speed of a centralized exchange, processing thousands of trades per second with sub-second finality.

This dataset contains the complete fill (executed trade) history sourced directly from Hyperliquid public S3 bucket, with initial coverage up to December 1, 2025. Each record represents one matched trade on Hyperliquid perpetuals and can be used to derive a wide range of insights, including:

  • Trading activity & volume: aggregate fill counts, notional volume (px × sz), and fee revenue by coin, time period, or wallet.
  • Market microstructure: taker/maker ratios (crossed), price impact, and order flow imbalance between buy (B) and sell (A) sides.
  • Trader behavior: wallet-level position tracking (start_position, dir), PnL analysis (closed_pnl), and identification of high-frequency or algorithmic traders via TWAP orders (twap_id) and client order IDs (cloid).
  • Liquidations & risk: large position closures, negative-PnL sequences, and cross-coin exposure patterns.
  • Fee economics: maker rebates (negative fee), builder fees, and deployer fees, enabling analysis of the fee distribution across ecosystem participants.
  • Block-level sequencing: exact block numbers and millisecond timestamps allow reconstruction of the full trade tape and latency analysis.
