Dataset Description
This dataset include US Forest Service (contact Dr. Stephen Sebestyen at USFS) long-term precipitation, atmospheric deposition, and hydrologic data for the years 2010-2013. The dataset also includes unique (never before collected) data on ammonification, denitrification, microbial enzyme activity, and nitrification. These data will be useful for long-term trend analyses and for further investigations on carbon and nitrogen cycling in peatlands.
This dataset is associated with the following publication:
Hill , B., T. Jicha , L. Lehto, C. Elonen , S. Sebestyen , and R. Kolka. Comparisons of soil nitrogen mass balances for an ombrotrophic bog and a minerotrophic fen in northern Minnesota. SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT. Elsevier BV, AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 550: 880-892, (2016).
