This dataset contains impact report metrics from the Town of Cary's Food Waste Recycling Drop-Off program which began on February 7, 2022.
Cary's pilot food waste recycling drop-off is a local option to turn food waste into compost. The site is located at the Citizen's Convenience Center, 313 N. Dixon Ave., and accepts a variety of materials; open to residents, no commercial interests. All material is processed by a local facility and some of that finished compost will be returned to the earth at Good Hope Farm.
