Dataset Description
Floodplain District Permits control floodplain development and other activities within areas defined as floodplains in the Montgomery County Code. The requirements are in place for the protection of people and property from flooding and to preserve environmental quality. A floodplain district is any area that is subject to inundation in a 100-year storm and includes any waterway with a drainage area of 30 acres or more.
