Data were collected following a catastrophic flood that occurred in the Staunton River Watershed and other watersheds in Shenandoah National Park. The objective of the study was to compare the pre- and post-flood status of physical habitat, stream chemistry, and fish community in the Staunton River. Project collaborators included Shenandoah National Park, University of Virginia, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Forest Service, and Virginia Tech.
