This data set shows the Idaho BLM District boundaries and names as per the Organization Refinement for FY 2004, which became official on October 1, 2003 (FY04), plus subsequent edits. This dataset has been updated over time. A Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Administrative Unit is a geographic area in which an organizational unit of the BLM has distinct jurisdictional responsibility for land and resource management activities occurring on the public lands, the maintained rights of the United States (i.e. mineral estate) and actions relating to the Trust responsibilities of the U.S. Government as stipulated in Law or Treaty. District Offices are the middle tier of BLM's three-tier organization, providing coordination, oversight and support to the lowest level, the Field Office, and overseen by the State Office.
