FOIA Requests

This dataset houses the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to DC Government by various organizations and individuals. In the summer of 2024, the District of Columbia migrated its FOIA records management to a new system. The data found here represent new FOIA requests received after June 14, 2024 and include any outstanding FOIA requests, from the legacy system, that remained open during the migration period. Please review the FOIA Legacy Crossover dataset to more easily identify those records. Refer to the FOIA Legacy dataset for archived requests dating back to September 2, 2014.
