Dataset Description

Key ring-necked snake (Diadophis punctatus acricus) proposed critical habitat unit coordinates/plot points are provided here as a csv file. As noted in the proposed rule (FWS–R4–ES–2022–0022), the textual unit descriptions constitute the legal source for determining the critical habitat boundaries. Users of these geospatial data are cautioned to refer to the textual unit descriptions provided in the proposed rule as the definitive source in determining critical habitat areas. Additionally, interested parties are encouraged to contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for a definitive finding on whether a location is within critical habitat.
