Dataset Description
This feature class depicts the boundaries of the livestock grazing allotments under the jurisdiction of the Idaho Bureau of Land Management. A pasture is a sub-unit of a grazing allotment; each allotment is comprised of at least one pasture. An allotment is an area of land designated and managed for grazing of livestock. An allotment may include private and state lands, in addition to public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management and/or other federal agencies. All allotments and pastures are recorded and tracked in BLM's Rangeland Administrative System (RAS). This GIS feature class provides a spatial component to pastures and allotments.
