A Preliminary Study Of Natural Aquifer Discharge On Guam

This data package was created 2025-12-03 08:43:18 by NPSTORET and includes selected project, location, and result data. Data are from William J. Zolan's (University of Guam's Water and Energy Research Institute of the Western Pacific) 1982 Technical Report #34 entitled "A Preliminary Study of Natural Aquifer Discharge on Guam". The primary objective of this study was to investigate the quality of groundwater seeps along the northern coast of Guam and determine if major regional differences in quality exist. Samples were collected over an eight-month period to evaluate the consistency of seepage water quality. A further objective of the study was to determine the effects of groundwater discharge on the immediate marine receiving waters through the measurement of inorganic nutrients, chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments.
