Dataset Description
The Unified Field Studies (UFS), established by the Algae Testbed Public-Private Partnership (ATP3), produced data on the effect of environmental and process conditions on algal growth rates and algal composition. The goal of the sixth Unified Field Study (UFS-6), performed March to June 2015, was to generate a robust inter-testbed dataset in algal biomass and lipid productivity and yield for Nannochloropsis oceanica KA32 and Chlorella vulgaris LRB-AZ-1201 as a function of different regional and environmental conditions among sites by controlling non-geographical-related variables including production systems, production processes, and protocols. The UFS-6 Experiment consisted of two parts. First, a direct comparison of two dilution rates (0.11 and 0.214 per day) with Chlorella vulgaris LRB-AZ-1201 was performed followed by experimentation on optimal nitrogen sources for Nannochloropsis oceanica KA32.
