Dataset Description
A. SUMMARY This dataset lists candidates who have been certified by the Ethics Commission as eligible to receive public funds and the amounts of funds received. For more information about San Francisco’s public financing program for qualified City candidates, visit the Ethics Commission’s Public Financing Program page. B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED Requests for public funds are submitted by candidates for mayor and board of supervisors, and reviewed by Ethics Commissions staff. After a request is approved, staff updates an internal list of approvals, which is synced to this public dataset. C. UPDATE PROCESS New requests approvals are automatically updated on this dataset every eight hours (three time per day). D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET Each row represents a qualifying or matching request by a candidate that was approved by the Ethics Commission and the amount of funds approved. E. RELATED DATASETS N/A
