Dataset Description

During Day Care Investigations (DCI) and Residential Child Care Investigations (RCI) the investigator must make face-to-face contact with each alleged victim listed in the intake report as soon as possible, but no later than the following:

  • 24 hours after a Priority 1 intake report.
  • 72 hours after a Priority 2 intake report.

“Response Timely?” indicates that the investigation fulfilled these initial contact requirements. Prior to fiscal year 2021, “Response Timely?” was calculated from the date of the first contact (date initiated) and date of the intake in the Child-Care Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS) database. Fiscal Year 2021 and after, “Response Timely?” is calculated from the date of the first contact (date initiated) and date of the intake from the Information Management Protecting Adults and Children in Texas (IMPACT) database.

This chart addresses Texas Human Resource Code Section 40.0516, subsection (a)(1)(D).
