Halibut Trawl Grounds - R7 - CDFW [ds3150]

This data is a spatial depiction of California halibut trawl grounds as defined by CA FGC 8495 and CA Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 124. Both Open and Closed areas are included in the file. Sub-Area (2)(A) Point Conception to Gaviota was closed to trawling in 2008. Refer to the regulations for a detailed description of each area. Attributes:Code Source: Either Fish and Game Code or CA Code of Regulations, Title 14Code Section: The specific subsection of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations or Fish and Game Code that defines the sub-area depicted. Status: Whether the specific sub-area is open or closed to halibut trawling. Description: Detailed description of the Sub-Area.
