Local Authority Pollution Prevention Control

This dataset shows permits issued under the Environmental Permitting (England & Wales) Regulations 2016. Local Authorities are required to regulate certain types of industrial processes to help reduce pollution and improve air quality. Processes regulated by the Local Authority that require a permit fall in to 2 categories: * Part A2 permits regulate emissions to air, water and land e.g. Glass Manufacturing, Manufacturing Wood Based Boards (plywood), Steel Manufacturing. * Part B permits regulate emissions to air only e.g. Dry Cleaners, Petrol Stations, Vehicle Resprayers.
