These data tables contain estimates from the British Crime Survey (BCS) broken down by a number of demographic characteristics they can be used to calculate the rates and numbers of different crime types, as well as levels of certain perception measures also covered by the BCS. From April 2012, responsibility for the publication of crime statistics will move from the Home Office to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
