About this Dataset

All Salmonellas: Antimicrobial Susceptibility 2014

The data shows, for 2014, the number of isolates and the percentage of positive Salmonella isolates (across all tested species) that are resistant to 16 antimicrobials. The data is grouped by Salmonella species, the numbers of isolates and the whole is grouped by year. A Salmonella isolate is a cultured instance of Salmonella from a sample. To better indicate the prevalence of resistance, only the first isolate from each incident has usually been tested. The laboratory facilities are UKAS accredited to BS EN ISO 17025:2000 (Lab Nos. 0941, 1769 and 2112) for an extensive range of tests supported by proficiency testing accredited to ISO/IEC Guide 43-1 1997 (Lab No. 0004). APHA is certificated to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for ‘the provision of a range of specialist veterinary scientific services to the Government and other interested parties worldwide’ (Certificate Nos.
