Livestock Counts - HYDE & FAO (2017)

This dataset on livestock counts has been compiled by OWID based on the combination of data from the HYDE database and UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) statistics.

Data for all livestock from 1890-1950 is sourced from the HYDE Database (History Database of the Global Environment), published by the PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency.
