OECD dataset from agency OECD.SDD.TPS: DSD_TIE@DF_TIE_AUS (1999 - 2025)

Timely Indicators of Entrepreneurship have become integral part of business statistics offering of most OECD member countries and beyond. It supplements more complete annual datasets (e.g. Business Demography, Structural Business Statistics by Size class) with more timely monthly or quarterly information on a limited number of indicators.

Data are broken down whenever available by

  • economic activity according to International Standard Industrial Classification, Revision 4 (ISIC Rev.4): ISIC Rev. 4 at the level of sections (letters) and higher aggregates, most often covering the total economy,
  • geographic area at country and TL2 level of the OECD Territorial grids,
  • legal form into three main groups: Limited liability (LL), Partnership (PA) and Sole proprietorship (SP).

With very few exceptions, series are not seasonally or calendar adjusted, so care should be taken in interpreting sub-annual changes.

Timely Indicators of Entrepreneurship provide valuable information to policy makers and researchers on most recent trends in business dynamics.

This dataset presents timely indicators for Australia.
