Short Term Transport Indicators

Data are collected from Ministries of Transport, national statistical offices and other institutions designated as the official data source. The survey used for this exercise is the "Quarterly Transport Statistics". Variables collected include rail, road and inland waterways national and international freight transport, rail passenger transport, road motor vehicle traffic, first registrations of brand new passenger cars and road goods vehicles, fuel deliveries and road fatalities. Data are collected with a lag of 2 months and made available at the end of each quarter. Data series start in 1994 and continue until the current quarter-1, or the most recent available data.
