Product Market Regulation OECD-WBG (World Bank Group)

Competition and pro-competition regulations are vital to foster innovation, business dynamism, productivity, investment, and employment. For 25 years, the OECD Product Market Regulation (PMR) indicators have been the leading metric of pro-competitive regulatory settings. These indicators assess the alignment of a country’s regulatory framework with international best practices, measuring both economy-wide and sector-specific regulatory barriers to entry and competition. The countries covered in the OECD-WBG PMR database have been done in collaboration with the World Bank Group
