Definition

Number and percent of teen births (ages 15 to 19) enrolled in Medicaid by Alaska Public Health Region.

Region is determined by maternal residence, not site of delivery.

Alaska links vital records to Medicaid/CHIP enrollment data to determine if the mother was enrolled during the year of the birth or previous year OR if the infant was enrolled in Medicaid during their birth year.
