The number and rate per 1,000 live births of children who died before their first birthday by race/ethnicity. This indicator contains data in single year intervals.

Although data publication for this indicator has ceased, the available data, which represents individual year measures, may still be useful. The current indicator, which began in 2021 and aggregates data over a five-year period, is not directly comparable to the previous single-year measures.

*Technical Note: Rates based on small numbers (fewer than 10 deaths) are unstable & should be interpreted with caution.
