Definition

Estimated percent of children who are not covered by health insurance. Figures are from the Census Bureau's Small Area Health (SAHIE) program. SAIHE estimates are based on statistical models that include data from the American Community Survey (ACS) as well as summary data from SNAP participation, Medicaid, federal income tax returns, and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) participation records.
