Definition

The number and percent of children eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Benefits (SNAP) during the state fiscal year.

Data Source

Total SNAP participant eligibility: Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Percentages calculated by CDF-Ohio.

Notes

The percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of
participants by the total child population of the county or state.

NA reported for some counties due to administrative reporting changes:

Hocking, Ross, and Vinton Counties began reporting SNAP data together under Ross County starting in 2014. These counties are reported as NA.

Defiance and Paulding Counties began reporting SNAP data together under Defiance County from 2014 to 2018. During those years, data for Paulding is labeled NA and counted with Defiance.
