Definition

These data represent the number of children age 0 to 4 years old receiving nutritional assistance each calendar year through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

The statewide total is the unduplicated number of people receiving assistance in Wisconsin, rather than the sum of people receiving assistance in each county.

These data may have been influenced by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, starting in 2020.
