Median Age (2005–2023)

Definition

Median age (years) of total population by county. As defined by the CIA's World Factbook: "This entry is the age that divides a population into two numerically equal groups; that is, half the people are younger than this age and half are older. It is a single index that summarizes the age distribution of a population." These figures are based on five-year estimates from the American Community Survey.
