Definition

Number and percentage of all New Mexicans who have no health insurance coverage, by their place of birth and citizenship status.
The percentages of native-born and foreign-born populations without health insurance are determined by dividing the native-born population without health insurance by the total native-born population, and the foreign-born population (for citizens and non-citizens) without health insurance by the total foreign-born population, respectively.

Data Source

U.S. Census, American Community Survey, 1-Year Estimates, Table B27020.

Notes

County-level data are available by request.

New Mexico state-level data typically are from the American Community Survey 1-year estimates. As a result of COVID-19 data collection challenges, the 2020 New Mexico state-level data are 5-year estimates and not comparable to other years.
