Definition

Numerator: Number of births to Georgia residents who were not high school graduates. Denominator: All births to Georgia residents. Rate calculation: 100 times the numerator divided by the denominator.

Birth Certificate Records, Georgia Department of Public Health, Office of Health Indicators for Planning (OHIP). Data collection is the responsibility of the Vital Records Branch.

Notes

Records with mother’s educational attainment missing are excluded from the numerator and denominator. S: Data Suppressed indicates that there were 4 or fewer events on which rates would be based.
