Total population of persons under age 18.

Percentages shown are out of the total population for that geographic entity (i.e., percentage shown for territory is out of total territory population, while percentage shown for an island is the proportion of children out of that island's total population).

Data Source

Data for the following years are from the U.S. Census: 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020

All other data are from the Virgin Islands Community Survey, Eastern Caribbean Center, University of the Virgin Islands. Table 1-2

Notes

NOTE: The Virgin Islands Community Survey (VICS) was not conducted for the years 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 thus population data for these years are not available.
